Your Self-Protection Options:
If we wish to process personal data from your website visit, we will inform you. You decide what personal data we receive and how we may process and use it.
On public Allianz websites, we only collect personal data if you voluntarily provide it or explicitly consent. This typically happens when generating a personalized product offer.
Information provided in an application to conclude an insurance contract will be stored by the Allianz company you selected.
As part of the mobile agent search, you may find your representative either by entering a desired destination or by enabling location services. Location-based data (GPS coordinates) is transmitted from your device to the Allianz search service only with your consent, which you may revoke at any time.
Entries submitted through the desktop portal for damage reporting are converted into internal Allianz messages used for claims processing or follow-up contact with you or the customer.
Calculation data is used to display accurate results and for statistical purposes. If you continue your entry with the request for a personalized result, the required data will be retained accordingly.
Other data from previous website visits is used for statistical analysis or automatically deleted.
Within closed user groups, data is collected for personalized processing only when required for the contractual or trust-based relationship, or when you have explicitly consented electronically or in writing (e.g., in a product application).
Our data processing fact sheets explain how data is processed and, where applicable, passed on to third parties within the relevant business area.

Allianz companies apply the Allianz Binding Corporate Rules—a set of mandatory internal data protection rules. These rules cover the international exchange of personal data between Allianz companies within the European Economic Area (EEA) and those outside of it.
These Binding Corporate Rules also describe your rights in relation to international data transfers and how to assert them or file a complaint.

Code of Conduct for the Handling of Personal Data in the German Insurance Industry
The insurance industry has always relied on the use of personal data from policyholders. These are processed for applications, contracts, and claims handling; to advise and support customers; assess insurable risks; check benefit eligibility; and prevent insurance fraud in the interest of the insured community. Today, insurers can only fulfill their responsibilities using electronic data processing.
Respecting the right to informational self-determination, safeguarding privacy, and ensuring data processing security are key priorities for Allianz insurers, forming the foundation of trust with our policyholders.
For this reason, Allianz insurers have joined the Code of Conduct for handling personal data issued by the German Insurance Association (GDV) — a voluntary commitment made by German insurers.
All regulations must not only comply with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), the German Federal Data Protection Act (BDSG), and industry-specific data protection laws, but Allianz insurers also commit to the principles of transparency, data minimization, and necessity.
The responsible data protection supervisory authorities have approved the Code of Conduct.
The Code ensures that privacy and data security considerations are integrated into the design and delivery of all insurance products and services.
Consent declarations from insured persons are now only required in personal insurance segments (health, life, and accident insurance) where health and confidential data are used.
Insurance, retirement planning, and wealth management are matters of trust. Therefore, respecting the personal rights of our customers is a fundamental principle for us—especially in the handling of your personal data.
To enhance the transparency of our consent declarations, the German Insurance Association (GDV), in coordination with data protection authorities, has developed new principles for the collection, processing, and use of health data and confidentiality waivers. Based on this, a model declaration was created and is now used by health, life, and accident insurers. Allianz has aligned its data usage practices accordingly.
By providing insurance coverage, insurers assume and manage risks in exchange for premiums. To do so, it is necessary to collect and use personal data. This includes data needed for:

These delegated tasks may also involve the handling of health data. Allianz maintains an up-to-date list of the entities and types of organizations that collect and use health and other personal data on its behalf.

Messages related to customer matters are not sent unencrypted unless you have explicitly consented to this. Sensitive information (such as health data or full bank details) is never sent by email, even with consent. If the content of your message concerns a contractual relationship, the email will be retained.
Before sending an unencrypted email via your internet provider, please be aware that its content may not be protected against unauthorized access or tampering.
Please understand that external service providers who filter incoming emails for spam and malware may have access to your email.
For direct end-to-end encryption with internal contacts,

Access Protection at Allianz
The Allianz data processing network is protected from the outside world using a state-of-the-art firewall system. Internal applications are accessible only via a login procedure that requires a user key and password. User rights within applications are restricted according to business needs via authorization systems.
Confidentiality Obligations
Employees of Allianz companies in Germany are bound to various professional secrecy obligations, depending on their affiliation:
Data protection officers are also bound by special professional confidentiality obligations.
Where legally required or mandated by court order, Allianz cooperates with the relevant authorities for data disclosure.
The "Allianz Live Chat" feature is available at various points on allianz-kapital.com and in the "Meine Allianz" online portal.
Through the live chat, you will be connected to customer service and can engage in real-time written communication with staff regarding your inquiry. If your question concerns an existing contract, you will be directed to the appropriate customer service department of the respective Allianz insurer.
For documentation purposes, the chat history will be stored in your customer account, provided such an account exists.
Anonymous data, such as the time, date, and the page from which the live chat was accessed, is collected for statistical purposes.
On various product pages and within online application processes, you have the option to switch to an online video consultation. When using this service, you are connected to the digital team of Allianz Beratungs- und Vertriebs-AG for guidance on your desired product — with the option to conclude your contract directly during the session.
The conversation takes place via an encrypted connection to ensure that neither third parties nor our service provider can access the content of the discussion.
The personal data required for video consultation is processed to check technical requirements, establish the connection, and conduct the consultation. The legal basis for this data processing is Article 6 (1) (b) GDPR.
During video consultation, some data is technically generated and stored automatically in log files. This includes your internet service provider's name, IP address, and technical information about the device you use. Besides enabling transmission, these logs are stored for IT security reasons — to investigate misuse — and are also analyzed statistically in a non-identifiable way. This processing is based on Article 6 (1) (f) GDPR, with our legitimate interests being secure service delivery and usage analysis.
We are supported in delivering the video consultation service by a specialized service provider: Voigtmann GmbH, Kieslingstraße 76, 90491 Nuremberg, which is contractually bound to Allianz as a data processor.
